INDIKASI MINERALISASI DAN KETERDAPATAN MINERAL BESI DI PANTAI TAMBELAN, KEPULAUAN RIAU BERDASARKAN PEMETAAN GEOLOGI PERMUKAAN
Abstract
Berdasarkan pemetaan geologi, memperlihatkan adanya indikasi keterdapatan mineral besi di pulau ini, masing-masing di Pantai Gayam (luas 70,84 ha) dan daerah Sekuni (luas 204 ha). Secara umum keterjadian endapan besi di kedua daerah tersebut memperlihatkan proses hidrotermal yang sama, dimana intrusi granitik merupakan sumber panas terhadap batuan induk yang berupa batuan lelehan andesitik dan dasitik. Ada perbedaan mineralisasi yang ditemukan, yaitu munculnya gejala silifikasi di blok Gayam dan gejala limonitisasi di blok Sekuni.

Based on the geological mapping there was indication of iron-mineral occurrences at Gayam coast (70.84 ha) and Sekuni coast (204 ha). In general, the origin of iron deposit at these areas was a similar hydrothermal process is there granitic intrusion as a heat source to the host rock of andesitic and dacitic rocks. There is a difference process of mineralization between Gayam block and Sekuni block. The difference is silisification and limonitisation.
